Successful
History. The
Espresso Americano franchising concept was birthed in 1989 and founded by Ron
DeMiglio, a life long resident of Seattle, Washington, USA
and Tatsuaki Sasaki, a life long resident of Tokyo, Japan.
They believed that the new style espresso industry was going to
become far more than an isolated fad or a short-term trend.
Coffee has been the social drink of choice throughout most of the
world for the past 200 years.

|
| This fact, combined with ever more sophisticated consumer
profile worldwide, spoke well for the longevity and opportunity
within the espresso industry. History has more than proven
this thought process to be accurate. In fact, the specialty
coffee/espresso industry is among the highest profit margin
businesses available in the world today. The specialty coffee/
espresso industry is expected to maintain double-digit growth, at
the very least, for the next 13 years.

Espresso
Americano's growth has been deliberate, reasoned and fiscally
conservative since its inception. Instead of pouring all
profits and resources into more and more shops, the founders
instead reduced the rate of growth in order to fully develop
infrastructure and systems that would guarantee the success of
every shop and not just the fortunate few. This approach has
resulted in a business infrastructure that is second to
none. To date, every Espresso Americano shop open is
meticulously maintained, carefully monitored and comfortably
profitable. It was the feeling of both founders that a
potential client should never have to pay the price for a parent
company's learning curve of its internal systems
development. Mr. DeMiglio and Mr. Sasaki believe that the
detailed approach and growth of their chain has resulted in stable
longevity and an advantageous alternative to the massive industry
leaders.
Mr. DeMiglio and Mr. Sasaki still run the company today. |
